PSU Noise Problem

My PSU has been making this noise every 5 or so minutes for a day or 2 now, any idea what could be causing it? Only had the PSU for 2 months 
PSU: Corsair CV 650W

That's probably what's causing the noise. I'd suggest blowing some compressed air into the intake fan of the power supply and make sure the case filter isn't too dirty either.

Every 5 minutes or so regardless of load?   Sounds like something is hitting the fan.

@Corsair Nick Would be nice to get this unit back for FA.  Only heard this once before and never got the unit back to see why it was making the noise.

Sounds like fan imbalance or rubbing against something. 

 

What case is this in and how is the PSU mounted (fan up, fan down, etc.)

That case doesn't even have a PSU shroud.  Flip it so the fan is pointing up and see if the noise goes away.

 

That's the thing about sleeve bearing fans.  There's too much play and the impeller could be falling into the fan grill.  Added bonus for having the fan pointing up is the heat from the PSU will rise away from the PCB.

Flip it so the fan is pointing up and see if the noise goes away.
