Personally I'd rather a first time builder ask than get 

A. a power supply that's terrible quality and can't even output it's rated wattage.

or

B.a power supply that's way more than they need.

 

and I consider these 'rant' posts, which are posted multiple times a day,much more annoying.

the reason i find it annoying is because there is a pinned thread at the top of the section specifically for calculating psu wattage

Well you see on a forum the intention is usually to start a discussion, or to get an answer.

A rant does not evoke any meaningful response from the audience and is more of a way to vent for the author.

As such it should logically be posted as a blog.
