Quick back story, if you cba, see next paragraph. So pretty much I had this problem ages ago, and decided to just leave it uninstalled, but I need Shadowplay as im now relatively invested into youtube, so i've decided to get back into this rabbit hole.

Right, so after going through the installation screen, this cheeky bugger pops up:

I have searched for downloads with names like the aforementioned and have gotten nowhere. If anyone could point me in the right direction I'd appreciate it enormously. :)

Odd thing to see in such a place.

Heres an installer for Visual C++ 2017 x64

https://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=746572

Hopefully that will make it go away.

So I tried installing that, and it wont as ive got a previous version installed- I installed every previous version, and went through the uninstall part of the registry and got rid of the key. Any suggestions on what i should do next?

Hmm maybe the Nvidia installer has extracted those files but (for some reason) needs a manual pointer to the VC runtime.

Check the folder where the installer extracted the drivers (usually C:\NVIDIA) from that window with the "Browse" button. If you can locate such a VC runtime folder select it and maybe the installer will continue.

Alternatively you can try with an older version of the driver.
