Need help with 0x8000ffff issue updating Windows

Toad901

I'm trying to update my Windows and whenever I do it fails, I keep getting the error code 0x8000ffff error code and whenever I try to fix it does not work at I tried getting help from a Microsoft agent and they didn't do anything and said "better luck next time"

Any way to fix the error 0x8000ffff not allowing me to update windows since October

if you go to this link:

https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/troubleshoot-problems-updating-windows-10-188c2b0f-10a7-d72f-65b8-32d177eb136c

then find the advanced section and follow the "rename software distribution folder" and the "restore and repair system files" steps. those usually fix most of the problems.

It did not work it said it failed and I didn't know what to do afterwards

very strange... try "sfc /scannow" instead.

After or before I do DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth ?

I have read that this may be due to the fact that when uninstalling a program, for example, important Windows files disappeared, you can find among other things on the Internet Reperations tools. If you trust the website, you can try it.

I'm not doing, at the end they wanted to charge me to fix the files
