Can I enable resizable bar on my pc?

System specs- Core i5-10400, RTX 3060 ti, Asus b460-H mobo

 

Is it only for PCI-e gen 4? If i can can you please say how?

Yes, it only works on PCI-E Gen 4 (or higher)

That's not accurate. It will work on gen 3 and even older professors. 

I am using it on my system with a 9900k. Gotta check with your motherboard manufacturer of they have a bios update to enable it or plan to. It is up to the manufacturer to enable it if the board supports the capability.

Yes, your CPU, GPU, and motherboard combo are capable of Resizable BAR. I checked your motherboard BIOS page and it says Resizable BAR  support. You just need to flash a new BIOS to the motherboard and a new VBIOS to the GPU, you also need to update your GPU drivers.

For the GPU:

1. download MSI Dragon Center if you don't already have it installed

2. In dragon center, go to support, then live update.

3. Scan for update, the VBIOS update should appear. Then follow the steps given to update your VBIOS.

 

For your motherboard: 

Also, make sure Above 4G decoding is enabled and CSM is disabled in your motherboard BIOS.

i’ve seen how to do it on an amd system but is it the same process on an Intel board?
