Stupid question: Have you enabled RDP on that Win7 machine?

(Considering that you also deal with Windows Server 2008, highly doubt you’d forget enabling it)

Could you also show a screenshot of the error?

I’ve looked at your previous posts to see how you’ve actually installed Windows 7 on the Mac Pro, but couldn’t figure it out. Is it a VM?

I am getting pretty fucking sick and tired of the "watch something else" responses. It's such a cop out answer because you could say that about basically anything, and it doesn't address the actual complaints. People use it as some kind of card they pull when they can't actually respond to the criticism raised but they still feel like they need to defend some company/person. If you don't like this thread then stop reading it. See how stupid it is? It's basically like telling someone "shut the fuck up". It's not a clever responsive, it doesn't address anything said, and it is rude.

Try this:

Go onto cmd and type in:

netstat /p tcp /a | findstr 3389

If you see something like:

TCP 0.0.0.0:3389 <hostname>:0 LISTENING

then the RDP seems to be configured correctly. If not, you have something wrong with RDP or you might have changed the RDP port.

If the above works for you:

open 'mstsc' (Win+R, and then type in 'mstsc', enter) and then, enter the computer you would like to connect to as:

127.0.0.2

image.png.d6052a5596ddef3406b8649393825839.png

If it then prompts you to enter your password, then you have configured your RDP correctly. The problem has probably got something to do with your network.

If it shows an error like:

image.png.7e571ee7152b70384c664fc1c1f5d244.png

then you've setup RDP wrong.

Let me know your results.

EDIT: All of this, of course on the Windows 7 machine.
