Hey everyone! Finally cracked and made an account 😆

I'm building my first mini itx system and ran into a snag. I have the Gigabyte b550i pro motherboard and using the EK 240 AIO as my cooler. The board only has one cpu fan header and two system fan headers. The AIO needs 3 headers to be plugged in. If I buy a 3 way splitter can I run all three from just the cpu fan header pump and both fans? Or will that overload that header?

Probably a simple question but rather be safe than sorry! Thanks!

Those headers are typically rated only for 1A or 2A, so yeah, you'd most likely let the magic smoke out. I don't recommend trying. At least check with the manufacturer how much current the header can safely supply.

Would I just plug the pump into the cpu header then the radiator fans into the system fan port? Or should I get a sata powered fan hub for the 3 to go into the cpu header?

Pump header to the cpu header, the rest to system fan.

If you don't need the system fan headers for something else than you can do that. Just make sure that the system fan headers control according to your CPU temp in BIOS.

If someone did not use reason to reach their conclusion in the first place, you cannot use reason to convince them otherwise.

Ooh fair point I forgot you could do that! That's probably what I'll do. I have 4 fans total 2 on the radiator as intake and 2 as exhaust throughout the case.... I'll give that a shot. I'll just use a 2 way splitter so I can run both sets off either sys fan header
