Windows 10 Retail Key?

Go to solution Solved by Stahlmann,

I've been buying my Windows keys from "mmoga.de". I've always been able to transfer the key to a new computer whenever i switched. So i guess they're legit retail keys, not OEM leftovers. From what i've heard OEM keys don't allow reactivation when switching out hardware or the whole PC.

Hello to anyone who clicked this!
I am about to receive my final part to my first build. And I find myself wanting to just buy 1 key for all my computers. Which I mean I am looking for a windows key that I can transfer between different computer.

I was hoping someone here could help me find a website that seemed legit that sold retail keys. (Sidenote, I live in Norway, which means the normal shops here sell them for 120euros)

What I found was this: https://primetechkey.com/collections/windows-10-pro-oem-license-keys/products/microsoft-windows-10-pro-oem-cd-key-global-universal-version.

I found this through a youtuber, but I can't seem to find anywhere that tells me if this is legit or not, cause these keys are dirt cheap.

I will add the youtube video as well.

I hope someone out there knows where I can get one ❤️

I think those sites are in a grey area. My understandig is they in general sells OEM keys that are "leftover" from bulk purchases, so the keys themselves may be legit, but its a  chance to take.

OEM keys however, are not transferable between PCs.

You can however use Windows 10 forever without activating, you just get a annoying watermark. And som functionality, like changing desktop wallpaper are locked

If you want me to answer, please use the quote function or tag me. I dont get notified unless you do

No retail key allows multiple computers to use it. You'd need a site license for that (i.e. enterprise). Any actual retailer will sell you a 100% legitimate key. You only need to worry about random sites on the Internet. If the keys are any cheaper than retail, they're grey market (usually OEM keys). Like anything there, it's buyer beware.

If someone did not use reason to reach their conclusion in the first place, you cannot use reason to convince them otherwise.

-> Moved to Windows

***

There are no licenses which would allow multiple activation's to be active at the same time. You can move license between multiple PCs, or run it unactivated for testing purposes. But if you plan to use multiple PCs at the same time, buy key for each. This is how everyone else does it.
