I'm looking to get a pair of decent headphones for my new rig. I'm not sure if bluetooth headphones have the same quality sound as wired so I'm looking at suggestions. My issue with choosing a wired set is that my tower Phanteks Enthoo Pro 2 only has the single front port with both mic and headphone and I'm not sure if anyone still offers a headset with both plugs in one. If you suggest bluetooth would y'all be able to tell me if it's possible to use them with my PC and MAYBE if someone calls me on my phone are they capable of switching from the PC input to my phone if someone calls?? The last part isn't as important as sound quality either. I'm not looking to spend a ton perhaps 75 to 100 bucks for a decent pair. Please help with selection as I haven't had to buy a pair in probably 12 years, I had an old set of Sony's that sounded pretty good and they had great bass sound recreation. I don't have the model number of them because they broke and I threw them away. I appreciate your help and thanks in advance for any replies.

NEVER use front panel audio, it is horrible lol.

75$ headphones its had to say whats great around that range, there are tradeoffs and such with each one. HyperX makes Okay headsets for around that range, but its quite limiting.

Thanks for the replies. I do appreciate it. I do have a couple questions about what y'all suggested. I'm in no way arguing or anything but I'm curious as to why y'all say the front panel audio sucks? I've used it in the past and unless I'm missing something it actually sounded fairly good to me, now that might be because I've never tried anything other than that before, I'm not sure. Shimejii what do you mean by it's quite limiting?? Also I know I have ports on the rear that are on the motherboard is the output on those better than the front panel audio?? I'm just trying to make sure I have the "best" option for really enjoying listening to my music and if I learn something along the way that would be great as well. Thanks again for the replies I look forward to hearing from you again.

Generally the components used on front panel audio on cases are poorly implemented with awful shielding resulting ina very noisy listening experience. Generally the motherboard is better shielded and just sounds better vs front panel

Ok that's very informative and I didn't realize that until you said something but that makes sense. So the rear audio will be better I'll just have to figure out what port on the rear I can plug the headphones in and they work properly. Other than using the rear ports is there anything else I can do to get better sound quality like I want using the rear ports?? I just don't wanna buy anything and it not sound great like I'm expecting and also the fact that I'm on a fixed income as well so that kind of cuts down on the available funds. Oh yeah should I just go ahead and disconnect the front panel header off of the motherboard since it's not great??

Oh one more thing if I was able to squeeze some more money out of my tree LMAO could y'all recommend a decent soundcard that's not just outrageously priced?? I looked at the SXFI for the Creative headset and it was way over my budget. Thanks again.

the cheapest decent DAC amp you can get is a apple usb dongle DAC or  spend a bit more on a meizu HD pro but honestly if your pc sounds clean enough I would just spend as much as I can on headphones as they improve your sound quality the most out of any upgrades you can make

In case you will need to connect two mini jacks (headphones, mic) into combined one, you can get a splitter like this:

Ok TYVM, I'm thinking I will just get the headset for now and when I go to start streaming I'll get a decent mic and just plug it into the rear ports I'm pretty sure it has a mic in back there.

So I was looking at my MOBO owners manual and here is my rear panel. What I'm wanting to know is is the LIME the port that I would plug the headphones into?? I'm assuming the answer is yes but I just want confirmation so I don't mess anything up, Thanks.

I know they're in with Turtle Beach and I've had a lot of experience with TB's and I know how good they sound but was wondering if anyone has any experience with these exact ones and if you did how did they perform for gaming but also music.

Thank you sir. Reason I'm asking so many questions is if I mess this system up I won't have the money to build another one so I'm making sure I don't short anything out. I didn't think it would but I'm a little paranoid since I haven't been able to build or work on anything in a very long time.

Plugging headphones into those are pretty low risk and most motherboards these days will just ask you what you plugged in when you plug something in anyway

@rice guruHey man these headphones sound freaking amazing. Just the right amount of bass to go with the trebles, the only thing that I have that's kinda a non-issue and that's I wasn't expecting them to be as small as they are and by that I mean they cover my ears nicely and the top band easily fits my Jughead I mean as far as the weight and the smaller type of headband it almost feels like I might break them LMAO but I take good care of my stuff. One more thing is there a way to make the headphones louder, I mean they sound awesome just wish it had a little more power.

Nice glad you like them.  Generally the way to get them louder is to buy some sort of amp for them. Something like a jcally jm 20 or maybe even a apple Dongle Dac for $10 should do the trick. But otherwise you can use software to boost your audio a bit but be careful with it. Look into equalizer apo and peace eq you need both programs working together and on peace eq you get to have a setting that lets you boost your audio a bit.

Thanks man. I downloaded both of the equalizers, my question is do I adjust everything in Peace or do I have to adjust both individually. I definitely don't wanna blow something that's for sure.

equalizer apo is basically the way peace communicates with your system. so I would just toggle things through peace. peace is basically just a better interface that lets you do more than base equalizer apo. be careful though you definitely dont wann push the volume too much . as the bass can start to distort as your motherboard is only designed to push out so much
