Hi there,

I'm cirrently facing two problems:

1). Sometimes when I turn off my Computers; the OS is actually being shut down, the monitor turns off as well, bu some how the machine keeps running...

2). Sometimes I turn off the PC, everything is being shut down, but the PC turns itself back on automatically, whithout me pressing any button.

Im not really sure if this is a hardware or software problem, or both.

Thanks for your help.

next time you turn it off pull all the USB's out and see if it shuts down then?

----

What do you have plugged into the USB's? anything that could draw power when it is off? such as a charger/headset.

Also check in your BIOS that there are no settings to allow the USB to "stay alive" once the pc is off to charge things. This can cause the issues you are talking about.

  • 2 weeks later...

Sorry for replying that late.

I doesn't happen always.

I have an ASUS PA279Q Monitor connected with the USB 3 Cable...the only thing that could draw power...

The Monitor is plugge in a Adapter in which I can plug several devices and which I can turn off an on. Sometimes

when I turn that off, the PC (which is in onother plug socket) restarts...

It's weird!

Any help apreciated.

Cheers
