I'd probably go with SLI for now because of the way Crossfire is coded in the drivers. SLI I would say is more stable. Plus having two Titans means you have a very large e-peen already *wink wink*

Either GTX 680 4GB SLI or Titan SLI. AMD Crossfire is a mess in Skyrim.

I don't think PCPER use any mod. Yeah, with mods i think even 2 Titans just barely cut it.

Crossfire is still a mess in Skyrim even with the Prototype driver.

Im sure one 7970 toxic should be good. I think the evga gtx680 classifed version should be ok as it has 4gb of ram and i dont think thats too lacking and well it costs less then the titan and the 7990 and the 690.

The max refresh rate of a screen at 4k is 30hz due to bandwidth limitations of the current display inputs.

Once we get a new revision of HDMI We might be able to get 60hz, in which case 2 Titans should do the trick :)

Not sure on what monitor though.

No. This is a hdmi limitiation as far as I know. Display port supports 4k @ 60hz.

Having lots of vram is not going to allow a 680 or a 7970 to render decent frames at 4k. a single 680 or 7970 is still a single card at a resolution that is bigger than 3x1080p

Yup. Having tons of VRAM if the GPU itself does not have to horsepower to take advantage of it. Even more for the 680 since it only has a 256-bit memory interface.
