I agree about the Gigabyte PGM series being awful.  My PC came with the 750 watt version and the fan was loud as heck under load.  Threw it in the garbage since I'd feel guilty selling it. 

 

The Corsair RM850X is silent in comparison but unfortunately they're being scalped right now for $200+ at retail sites.
