voice glitching

need some help for a friend. So whenever we play cold war/ warzone his voice glitches out in discord or goes quiet for a few seconds and then his voice comes back glitched any idea what he can do to fix 

His system specs are a  ryzen 2600 rtx 2070 super 16gb of ram and a b450

There are two possible reasons. One is that his internet connection is having issues with Discord (which shows as robotic and clipping voice). The other is that there's a software or driver with noise-gate or something along those line. So either what the mic is picking up is set too low/high. Or there's setting where notifications or sounds coming from other software interfere with his audio.
