Hi guys!

Can you please help me with the problem I have right now ?

My mouse keeps stuttering and freeze-jumping in every use from just Desktop, Excel files, Youtube and Gaming (CS:GO, Darksiders, GTA V) and it is really annoying.

I tried a lot of fixes that I found on Google but nothing worked. I am now on a fresh licensed install of Windows 10 Pro 64Bit with every driver and updates up to date (I think).

I don`t know what the problem can be, I know the system is old but I`m not trying to play 2021 games on max settings.

RAM appears single channel but there are 2 RAM sticks, 8Gb and 4Gb. They are running in slots 1 and 2. If I have them in any other way it will read both of them but only Slot 1 will be usable and the other one system reserved.

Thank you!

Is the OS on the SSD or one of the HDDs?

When did you first encounter that issue?

Your drive temps are a bit high, especially the SSD.

In theory that system is still plenty capable today.

If moving and copying files and folders doesn't work or takes forever, you have bad memory.

General system stutter I would account to a failing HDD.

If the OS is on the SSD, try unplugging the HDDs and see if it helps.

Another reason for system stutter and lags are background tasks like unwanted applications.

Try running Malwarebytes (freeware) to check for bad apps on your system.

One more thing, make sure you only have the keyboard and mouse plugged in.

Some USB headsets and other devices cause issues like that as well.

OS is on the 120Gb SSD. Games are on the WD HDD, rest of hdd-s are just project files.

Until a few days ago I ran Bitdefender Total Security 2020 fully licensed.

The problem is about 1-1.5 years old but didn`t bother me as much because I wasn`t really doing much on it.

Keyboard, Mouse, Headset and Speakers are bluetooth but I`ve been running them for 4-5 years no problems.

I also tried new wired keyboard + mouse and a new bluetooth mouse with the same result.

LE : Those temps are at Idle but has been running Chrome for a few hours, no gaming today - Maybe the benchmark upped the termals.

Maybe try a fresh windows install. Maybe some software or a bad update screwed something up.

I am on a fresh Windows install. It has just about 2-3 days with SSD format.

Then try unplugging the hardware and only run the essential stuff. If a drive is bad (bad sectors for example) it can halt the entire system for short moments. Same with bad memory.

One thing you can try (had this issue on an old Core 2 Quad machine) is to disable windows system sounds completely. Open the menu and select no sounds. Then restart the system. That solved BSODs and stutters in BF 3 and 4 for me.
