if estimates are right, it might be teh 5000 series by the time you can find them in stock regularly. 

supply should "clear up" by 2023.

which means perfect supply will take longer.

If I can find them at MSRP then go go go get it.

And as per what helpfultechwizard says is tru then u can sell it for nearly same price later.

What are ur specs right now btw?

(Bcuz an "upgrade" will depend on what your old system is. If it's a 2080ti I won't bother unless u can sell 2070-2080ti at very good price and 30 series GPU is nearly at the MSRP)

you could probably get a 2080ti sold for its launch msrp, adn get a 3080 for a bit more, even at a scapled price, whcih would be much faster.
