I bought a gaming laptop last august from Digital Storm (i7 10875H, rtx 2070 Max-Q, 16gb single channel 2667, 1tb ssd) and recently its turned into a bit of a stuttery mess in battlefront ii (at anything above medium graphics at 1080p) which is pretty much the only game I play. I have the thing on a cooling pad so I don't think that's the issue, and this only started recently. I had been playing on ultra with no problems except in a couple really shiny rooms. Any ideas?

even normal cooling pads wont help the laptop that much.

since the system is so compact and the intakes are so small, there is only so much air that can be pushed at once.

therefore the temps wont really be that much affected.

if you want to see better thermals, clean the inside of your laptop and replace the thermal pastes
