Budget (including currency): $1800 AUD

Country: Australia

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Light-Medium Gaming, Coding, Video Editing

Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc):

I know about the GPU shortage and know that a 1660 Super should not cost $414 AUD. However I do plan to upgrade this build progressively over time in area which will be needed to. I plan to purchase a second monitor, bot run at 240hz at 1440p. I am in dire need of this upgrade, as I am currently running a HP Z400 Workstation with a GTX 660Ti. Are there any tweaks/changes that need to be made? Cheers!

Are you going to buy the 1660 Super right now?

That's what I am not 100% sure about, I could always upgrade later.

Don't buy it now, see if you can make do with your old GPU, or you could use an Intel CPU and use its iGPU, I'm not aware how much of a difference that would be from your old GPU, you could check that out for yourself. Something like an 11500 with a b560 mobo would be fine af.

About the B550 motherboard, if you don't need some of the features it offers, you could get something cheaper. You could probably also get a cheaper case. And channel those funds into getting a better GPU, when that happens.

Also, for this build you wouldn't be needing a 750W PSU, for 3060-3060ti, you need a 600W PSU, these cards would be better suited for this build. For a 1660 super that's only about 500W with headroom in mind.

For storage you could get an SN550 from WD, or if you've got the money to spare, a Samsung 970 Evo/Evo Plus, as a boot drive. An SSD is necessary these days.
