I'll be having a crossfire of r9 270x in the future, would be it be an overkill for a 1080p monitor ? I notice the benchmark of my card to next gen games and I'm not satisfied with the result like the max out performance on thief and BF4

should It be okay the crossfire 2 r9 270x for benchmark results that would not go down to 60 fps ? Or it will be an overkill for my monitor ?

i have 2 7870's in Crossfire (overclocked) and the performance with both cards is amazing. i can max out most games at 1920x1080, the exceptions would be Crysis 3 & Metro LL.

BUT! i would have to recommend saving up and buying 1 high end card. The games that don't have crossfire support or are just badly optimized will piss you off. i was able to buy my second card for $30, I had $100 in store credit at microcenter.

plus this was my first multi GPU setup.

Yes, this. Higher end single cards are ALWAYS better than dual lower end cards.

Yes, even if someone holds a gun to your head to your head and tells you to buy two low end cards or he will shoot you, make sure you buy one high end card because it's ALWAYS better.

If you have on board and can stick it out for a while or have a crappy temp card you can use, I would get rid of that 270x asap. Prices seem like they'll be dropping soon.

hahaha Its not that crappy you know :). For the mean time I'm sticking with mine
