Clearance problem, looking for a solution.

Wumbology

Hey everyone! I’m not new to computers on the software side of audio production, but this is my first build for the studio/light gaming and I’ve run into a clearance problem...

specs:
Kraken z73 360mm AIO
BeQuiet Dark Base pro rev 900 v.2 case
MSI tomahawk mag x570 mobo
Ryzen 5950x
64gb neo 3600 (32 x2)
Corsair rm850x psu
Asus rtx 2060 dual OC

My main question:
The clearance I need is between 3/8- 1/2in off the heat sink. I’m sticking to base clock, no OC.
That’s 2 fins that would need to be cut off. I have access to an EOS 3D printer to cut it with precision, so aesthetically would look factory.

I’ve tried moving the AIO to several different mount positions since the case is supposedly modular🙄 but the top mount is the only way I’m seeing.

Any and all advice for a novice is greatly appreciated.

A contradiction.

Cutting heatsinks, not a fan of the idea.

It may be possible to mount on the front panel with the fans on the inside and the radiator on the outside.

I’ll try that again, I’ll touch back within the hour. Thank you
