Thoughts on unbranded webcams

Janettebot

Hello, I am starting to stream and I would like to use a handcam, however, I need to know if the c920 is good enough or if I need something better. Anything cheaper is appreciated too. Thanks in advance.

Hello, starting to stream and I need a handcam, I would like to know if I should get a cheap knockoff webcam (as it will be in the corner of the stream so it will be harder to see low quality) and get some decent lights. If so please could I have some recommendations on the lights, tight on budget as I am also getting an intel nuc so i have about £40 for cheap webcam and lights. Thanks in advance.

get a Logitech C270 for 40$, sometimes you can get them for less than that

What about lighting? I need decent lighting otherwise it will be a yellow shadowy mess because warm bulbs suck

Just remembered I have either this https://www.amazon.co.uk/KitVision-Adventure-Waterproof-Extension-Floating/dp/B0824BYWT3 or a slightly older but similar model. Will this on a cheap ring light be alright? It's got a mildly distorted ultra wide lens but I could crop it to minimize this.
