Cablemod help: Cable length?

bobzen

So i got my PSU locked in and im still waiting on my motherboard and figured i wanted to order my cables now while waiting since cablemod has 3-4 weeks waiting time and wanted to ask here if anybody can help me to determine my cable lengths?

Setup is following:

Case: Lian Li o11 dynamic XL ROG version

Motherboard: Asus maximus XIII Hero

GPU: Asus Strix 3090 OC - Will be mounted vertically with EKWB vertical GPU Mount with a EKWB block mounted on the GPU

PSU: be quiet dark power pro 12 1200W

Do anybody here have a similar build and can maybe help me determine what length i should choose?

Im thinking about just ordering all the cables at max length (1000 mm) just to be sure they are long enough but im not sure they will fit on the back of the case where all the cables go

Hope anybody here can help me out here 🙂

Motherboards don't dictate cable length, the case and it's openings do.

Any motherboard will have the same layout as any other in the same category.  ATX boards have the GPU in the same place, for example.

It's really not difficult to envision.  Even without ANY of the components, you can do this with mockups.

Just wait until you get all your parts. Even someone with the exact same hardware as you might route the cables differently.

Your PSU comes with cables so it's not like you can't use your PC in the meantime. Custom cables are a luxury and you are going to be waiting a while for them anyway.
