Cleaning VR Facial Interface Foam (Quest 2)

WaggishOhio383

I'm wondering if there's a good way to clean the foam on the facial interface for my VR headset. This is the stock facial interface that comes with the Quest 2. I've already tried running it under warm water, wiping it down gently with a soapy rag, and then leaving it out to dry. And while that helped somewhat, the foam still has a noticeable smell to it. Is there a better way to clean the foam out, or should I just get a new facial interface and invest in a proper sweat guard for games like Beat Saber from now on?

I mostly speak from my own past experience from similar problems. My solution may not work for you, but I'll always try my best to help as much as I can. If you want me to see your reply, make sure to quote my comment or mention me @WaggishOhio383, and I'll get back to you as soon as possible.

I don't know about the stock foam... However I can't stand the way the foam feels once it gets wet on my Vive. Not to mention it just doesn't clean that well. So I switched to the pleather ones. I've been happier with hose. I noticed they make silicone versions for your Quest? Maybe another option?
