So i recently bought a pc and its running slower than i see online I see videos with the exact same specs as mine getting higher fps in cod warzone at low 1080p they get average 200fps with lows of 180 and i get average 150 with lows of 140 and highs of 180.

I can put it down to being my cpu as in game he gets 5ms cpu and i get 7-8 my gpu is the same as his average 4ms lows of 3ms and highs of 5ms. My question is what could this be Im completely clueless as to what is can be. I recently when in the advanced notebook folder and changed the number of cpu cores i use from 7-4 which helped a little but not a lot. If I run AIDA64 on 5.0ghz I get stable temps of 70. I have no clue what it could be im thinking maybe i got given a bad cpu? I was going to get a i9-10900k would this increase my fps a lot if I did?

I tried overlocking to 5.1ghz but it didn't like it and temps went crazy high and pc felt unstable (in my opinion)

Operating system is windows 64 bit.

Running most recent version of bios.

Pc specs:

GPU: Rtx 3080

CPU: I7-10700K

PSU: 850w gold

RAM: 32GB (16x2) 3200mhz

Motherboard: Prime z490 V

SSD: Seagate Barracuda 510 1TB SSD, Samsung ssd 970 evo plus 1tb (I am running warzone on Samsung)

CPU Cooler : corsair icue h115i rgb pro xt 280mm liquid cpu cooler

they probably do some overclocking, they have a fresh windows image without any bloatware or other software installed

This video is uploaded at 13th of october last year. By that time, Warzone have pretty much blown up in size (for the quadrillionth time, jeez), and frame drops for everyone.

could you recommend any other more powerful cpus I could get to boost performance in game? I dont mind about price.

the ryzen 5800x would be the best bet, but you'd have to change motherboard as well. not sure a 10% increase in fps would be worth it.
