NZXT CAM and iCue not detecting cooler and fans after normal startup

Hello, hope you guys can help - everytime I start my PC the NZXT Z73 Kraken and the Corsair LL120 fans are not detected by their respective softwares. I can get this working when I unplug the power from the PSU, press the power button once, plug the power back in and power it back up, specs below:

 

• Windows 10 64 Bit
• X570 Aorus Xtreme (BIOS version f33h, latest)
• AMD 5900X (no OC)
• 2x16GB G.SKILL RAM (3600MHZ XMP profile 1)
• Nvidia 3070 FE
• Sabrent 256 GB NVME SSD
• Sabrent 1 TB NVMESSD
• Corsair AX850 (850W Titanium)

I have the fans connected to a commander Pro which connect to the USB 2.0 header on the mobo and the Z73 Kraken connects to a USB 3.0 header with a USB 2.0 to 3.0 adapter.
