CPU only has 2 cores?

HorribleMC

So I have an i5 7400 and apparently I only have 2 cores. I haven't seen any i5 7400s with 2 cores before and I was wondering if 2 cores are deactivated or disabled. If so, how do I enable them?

Sorry it doesn't work. It still says I have 2 available cores. Maybe they removed cores? Idk

Well heres an article that says the same thing;

Can you install CPU-z and post a screenshot of what it shows? https://www.cpuid.com/softwares/cpu-z.html

According to Intel, it's a 4 core, 4 thread CPU.

Also, uh... Grab a screenshot from the 'Motherboard' tab in CPU-z. Might be some kind of really weird BIOS issue?

Man, goggle is absolutely useless for finding any kind of information on this.

The only thing I could even think of suggesting is to update to a newer BIOS, or contact ACER and ask them 'wtfbbq'
