I am in dire need of fixing this ram problem, right now at the moment my P.C. is at 90% ram capacity based on the sheer amount of google chrome tabs I've opened, I want to expand into another set of 16gb ram, but the problem lies here where previously in my computer life, when I first built the computer I used those 2 remaining slots for my ram with 16gb vengance LPX ram from corsair when I started off, back then I didn't know the ram were incorrect slots (1,3) and should've been on (2,4 which is what I'm currently rocking on), but it didn't bother with my P.C. until it started BSODing my screen heavily, I went back to microcenter and they classified the problem being the vengeance ram and they fixed it swiftly. But a few years after this incident period, my P.C. started to crash again into BSOD multiple times throughout the day in the same slots 1 and 3, this time I've replaced the ram once again after already going through 5 sets and set them in the 2 and 4 slots. Here comes my dilemma, I don't know if I should add the other 16 gb set into the 1 and 3 slots with my other 2 and 4 slotted 16gb rams as currently it has been running finely with no errors, as previously I feel like those ram slots are completely burnt out as it was those slots that were causing problems (I don't know if it's a motherboard problem causing BSOD and not RAM, but it would be great if some affirms if it is) or should I upgrade to a B450 motherboard and ditch this old one as I already have a set of ram available for my pc upgrade (from old sets) yet I'm just hesitant as I don't know what the problem is causing my BSODs and I really can't be spending much more than what I have right now. Additionally, if I do upgrade to a B450, would it retain the google chrome tabs I've open, as currently I have 10 windows of chrome open with each of them having an average of 30 tabs and I would hate to lose them when I boot up my pc again. Please provide any suggestions or tips!!.

btw I've never overclocked, use excessive power usage, or shifted any components of the P.C. when it was running.

Edit:

My apologies for those who couldn't understand. I had just gotten off a 14 hr school shift. But the intended question basically is should I upgrade or should I stick with my current mb and trouble shoot it internally, which i'm not sure of since i feel like this is a mb and not a ram, or bios problem. But any advice will help. The ram problem (bsod) occured to me when I booted up my pc with it in the 1 and 3 slots, which makes me hesitant to try again and brick my pc indefinitely. Hence, I'm asking if I shouls try to fix it or upgrade it?

My Current P.C. Specs:
B-350 TomaHawk
Ryzen 5 2600

2 x 8 gb G.Skill 2400 mhz Ram
GTX 1060SC

500W PSU from CoolerMaster
240gb SSD Boot Drive + 1tb HDD + 1tb SSD

That was difficult for me to parse I’m afraid.  It sort of like you forgot to make sentences then remembered, then forgot again then remembered.  6 sentences total.  3 were of normal length.  The others had commas instead.

Not a pro, not even very good.  I’m just old and have time currently.  Assuming I know a lot about computers can be a mistake.

Life is like a bowl of chocolates: there are all these little crinkly paper cups everywhere.

I'm sorry for confusing you, but I made an edit at the end with the intended question and reason for my incomprehensibility

Most common cause of crash after boot is memory problems.  This would include memory on the gpu.  Lately PSU problems have been one too.  That one is about inadequately powerful PSUs generally.  There is a program called memtest which is a quick (for some definitions of quick.  It can take hours) way to look for big problems.  The old school technique is better at subtle ones but takes multiple times longer.  With that one you put a single stick of memory in slot 1 and run it for a while to see if bad things happen (you may see here how it can take a while to do each stick of memory)

Not a pro, not even very good.  I’m just old and have time currently.  Assuming I know a lot about computers can be a mistake.
