Would anyone be willing to help me out with my overclocking. My i9900k 2080ti and 32gb 3600 Corsair vengeance pro....only overcooked my cpu not sure it’s done right not sure how to validate. Switched from 3200 ram and had to change my xmp...wouldn’t boot initially when I tried to change the speed. And have no idea how to overclocking my 2080ti...tried doing it in afterburner (it’s an Msi) but don’t think I accomplished much. Would really appreciate it!!! Let me know what screenshots or whatever you need from me! Thank you so much LTT community!

I feel like my bench marks effing suck and should be really good.

Don’t pay attention to benchmarks, pay attention to the games you play. You don’t need to overclock your gpu to the limit just to increase benchmark numbers, if the games you play run well then there is no need. Benchmarks are just indicators but they don’t really matter on their own.

you need to post whatever settings you used, or screenshots of the settings.

can you clarify this? you switched from 3200mhz to what? and did you manually change the speed or use xmp.

So I’m at work so can’t remember but there’s two version of XMP (asus hero Maximus) XMP 1 and 2... so I had 3200 initially and saw it was at like 2600 or something. So I used the manual XMP to change it to 3200 everything was fine. Got the 3600 and saw it was still at 3200. So went into bios and the version of XMP LET ME MANUALLY oops caps...choose 3600 but it wouldn’t boot. So changed to the version of XMP where it auto detects now it says I’m at 3600

Also I want to knowing I overclocking  correctly because if I’m getting 5.0 on my cpu wouldn’t I benefit to speed up my ram? Overclocking?

sometimes ram overclocking is weird like that, if it auto went to 3600 just leave it like that, no reason to change it.
