1070 vs 3060

Go to solution Solved by Skiiwee29,

I think in terms of pure work flow that you do, it would be worth the upgrade, 4gb more of VRAM, faster RAM speeds, better, faster cores, more Cuda. I think its a worth while upgrade for you just in terms of work, assuming you use GPU horse power more. In terms of gaming, it will provide a decent boost. Also, with the used GPU market, you could get MSRP or even over for your 1070 likely since its near impossible for people to find GPUs currently.

Simple question. Since im debating on changing my 1070 to a 3060 is it worth it. I'm conflicted since they say the 3060 is not the best but not the worst. If is not worth then ill keep my current build intact and maybe make a new one just for the 3060.

I do mostly programming.

And on the sides 3d modeling for extra cash. And obviously gaming.

So would it be worth the upgrade 🤔

Cards i own:

1070 zotac amp extreme edition.

3060 Gigabyte 12gb OC 3x WindforceFans

(Currently 3060 still in transit from shipping)

Thanks in advance 🙂

If you are satisfied with roughly 50% gaming performance boost, then 3060 is worth it.

For example, if you currently pushing 50fps on cyberpunk, then 3060 will give you ~80fps  on the same graphical setting.
