I recently purchased a z390 Aorus Ultra motherboard, and when I tried to power it on, the lights on the board flashed white for a brief second, then nothing happened. I attached a brief video of what happens. Every component was working fine with my Asus Z390-E motherboard earlier today, so I wonder if its the board itself.

My system specs are:

i9 9900KF

Aorus Z390 Ultra motherboard

Corsair LPX 16gb 3000 Mhz kit

WD Sn750/Red 8tb

Nvidia RTX 2070 Super Founders Edition

Corsair RM650X.

Maybe its the power supply, or board causing the issues as I do not have the additional 4 pin atx plugged into the motherboard.

If you can RMA the board, you should

new stuff have Over voltage protection, so sudden jump shouldnt damage the device, but in any case return the board for a new one.

Then when installing the new one, make sure to plug everything first before plugging and turning the power supply on

i can not see the video but are you sure that you have the power plugged in to the right correction and the correct way for the board? i have a MSI z370 board and i just upgraded my case and in doing so i had to remove everything from the old case to the new one including new power and reset plugs for the case to the motherboard. the connection for mine was JFP1 with reset being on pins numbered 5 and 7 and power on pins numbered 6 and 8.

I do have the power plugged in properly. I find it odd that the video was not working. Here is a link instead:

I should never assume something works, it is such a hassle to take everything in and out of the case. Also, would it be good to upgrade to a more powerful power supply?

the video was not working for me because the link you provided had an extension that i do not have so it wouldnt play properly for me.

your specs seem fine but what has me a little worried was the sound in the video. any kind of sound that is not the fans spinning up when powering on the computer is a bad sign normally
