Constant stuttering in games

Hello,

 

So, to make it short & simple, i've always had a problem with my pc that causes me to stutter in games.

 

I've always had good FPS & a 'decent' computer. 

I'm willing to spend money on what i need to upgrade but don't want to spend money on what i don't need. 

 

Can anyone help on what my problem is?

Specs:

CPU : I7-9700k 

GPU : GTX 1070

RAM: 16gb DDR4 (3200mhz) but use at 2666mhz
Motherboard : Prime h310m-k

It could be very many different things. Specs of your computer, you have freesync/gsync on?

just added the specs, accidentally pressed "send" before i finished. & No, don't normally use gsync/vsync

Hello, Do you know if your RAM is running at 3200 MHz for sure?It could be running at lower MHz

It runs at 2666mhz, my motherboard only supports up to that. 

 

Which is what i thought could be the problem, but, best to ask first.

Yeah, I think that's the issue but I am not an expert.

Will look into getting a newer motherboard.

what are your CPU and GPU temps like? are your gpu drivers updated

And my GPU is at 45-50
