I can't recommend any services that offer free web hosting, they're not worth the headache.

 

You're best off going with AWS and either paying once your trial expires, or switching to a cheap hosting solution from a provider on Low End Box.

I use Netlify for my personal site and I've had zero issues with them.

By the way, my desktop is a docked laptop. Get over it, No seriously, I have an exterrnal monitor, keyboard, mouse, headset, ethernet and cooling fans all connected. Using it feels no different to a desktop, it works for several hours if the power goes out, and disconnecting just a few cables gives me something I can take on the go. There's enough power for all games I play and it even copes with basic (and some not-so-basic) video editing. Give it a go - you might just love it.

Github will give you 1 free static webpage URL if I remember correctly, and that doesn't expire. Perfect for starter projects.
It looks something like 'userName.github.io'
