I have recently gotten into mining. I have 20 and 30 series cards and all run memory in the 70c-80c range when gaming. However the temps shoot up when mining even if I declock it to the max.

I am planning to water cool everything but has anyone found a way to bring these temps down with a setting?

I have a system running a 2080 super and 2080ti and they came down from a memory temp of 100c to 65c with the Corsair waterblocks. This was with a full 1000mhz overclock on the ram. I have to pull the power to 53% and pull 500mhz on the memory to get the air cooled units under 100c.

All temps are taken from onboard probes and seen using gupz.

Thank you for any suggestions.

Might just want to open nicehash quick miner and set it to lite, memory temps above 95 are not good long term.

Thanks. I am using Phoenix and when I make this adjustment nothing changes. I just dont get the returns with nicehash I get with Phoenix. I am not a software guy but mostly good with hardware. So I will do some research and see if I am doing it wrong.

Basically what nicehash lite miner does is pull back the clocks on the gpu and memory, which you can experiment in afterbuner until you get good temps.

Ok I I will give nicehash a try and see if I can get it to tune better. I can’t believe I can get +1000mhz at a memory temp of 65c on both the 2080s and 2080ti with water. They were also at 100c on air with this overclock.
