PC crashes when under GPU load

So i’ve found the solution. After almost giving up on my gpu, I took out the power supply, disassembled it and cleaned it, blew out the dust with compressed air. Now it works just fine. I guess the psu had some what of an electric leak because of the dust, so it wasn’t producing enough energy. 
 

In short: clean and maintain your PSU.

recently, the PC that i’ve been using for the last year started crashing when playing games. It started when playing Dead by Daylight, with rare crashes inbetween games, when starting to load or when ending the match. I didn’t think about it much, as it was a rare occurrence. After a while, it started getting more common, so i tried replacing the GPUs thermal

paste, the procedure was normal, though i noticed that some of the thermal pads were a bit ripped. After putting in the gpu in the pc, i didn’t notice good, only that it got A LOT more common. Now, after a

month of the thermal paste replacement, I can’t play Dead By Daylight, ETS2, even Phasmophobia crashes. It crashes when loading a game or when loading into a match. The only games I can play are old games, Assetto corsa (when heavy underclocked on MSI Afterburner).

I’m pretty sure the GPU is bad, but as the prices are so high right now, i don’t want to believe that i’ll have to replace it. 
The crashes started as a sudden black screen with a loud buzzing sound in the headphones, but i could still talk in discord for like 30 seconds and the peripherals worked as usual. As it got more common, the crashes still were sudden, but discord was shut down immediatly, peripheral lighting freezes. The only way to get it working again is to force turn off the pc and turn it on again.
 

Maybe some people have encountered with a similar problem and found the solution? Any help would be really appreciated!

My PC specs are:

 

GPU: AMD RX580 4GB SAPPHIRE PULSE

CPU: INTEL I5-4460

Motherboard: ASROCK H97

RAM: 2x DDR3 CRUCIAL 8Gb

PSU: CORSAIR VS650

HDD 1tb 7200rpm

SSD: 500gb EVO860 + 256gb


 

This pc isn’t something special, but for me it’s enough for casual gaming.

 

P.S. I tried recording OCCT monitoring on slow motion, but i didnt notice any spikes:/

After the second thermal paste replacment if nothing is getting better, why did you continue to re-apply thermal paste? 

 

Also what audio driver are you using. The generic windows one, one for your motherboard, or the audio driver for the RX 580? 

 

Also this sounds a lot more like a CPU problem instead of a GPU problem. 

Fuck you scalpers, fuck you scammers, fuck all of you jerks that charge way too much to tech-illiterate people. 

Unless I say I am speaking from experience or can confirm my expertise, assume it is an educated guess.

Also have a Alienware Alpha R1: i3-4170T, GTX 860M (≈ a 750 Ti). 2x4GB DDR3L-1600, Crucial MX500

After disconnecting all of the other drives, second

monitor, nothing changed:/ Also, i forgot to mention a really important thing. When doing the 3d stress test in the OCCT, it instantly crashes, so that’s why im leaned to believe the Gpu is bad:(
