Hello People,

whenever i try to open the radeon software to change settings for my GPU absolutely nothing happens.

I already uninstalled everything restarted the PC and reinstalled everything but even after a fresh install it just does not open at all.

The driver seems to be working fine but my OC settings are not being loaded for sure.

yes i did use DDU and also made sure all drivers of my previous GPU are gone before installing everything.

I was able to open the radeon software without any problem yesterday evening but it suddenly decided to not open anymore.

Try checking for Windows updates, many a times the drivers are optimized for the latest windows version which you might not be running....

Strange.. have you contacted AMD about this? Maybe they are having issues with it right now or something, and you'll just have to wait for a new update.

When you use DDU, keep the drivers you downloaded on your SSD or HDD (DO NOT INSTALL), disconnect from the internet by means of either Wi-Fi or unplugging the Ethernet cable, then use DDU that does the restart option (in Safe Mode). Log back into Windows and go to your drivers you have previously downloaded and install. Afterwards, restart if prompted to and reconnect to the internet.

no but google tells me this is a problem that happens often as i can find posts about this going back 4 years where this has happened to people for various different reasons.

i did not do that because the reason i found for doing this was that windows will install a driver for the iGPU if you are connected to the internet and are using an intel CPU but im running an AMD CPU so its not gonna install any IGPU drivers.

Also the driver works fine and stable its literally only the software that fails to open.

This is why you use DDU when you are in Safe Mode and you unplugged any method you have connected to the Internet. This will prevent Windows from downloading the wrong driver (most of the time it is or is a really outdated driver). I've never heard of Windows installing an iGPU driver for Intel CPUs when using AMD CPUs. Windows will be forced to use their basic display adaptor drivers, until you install AMD drivers.

i can see with DDU which drivers are installed and its all fine in that regard, its really only the radeon software that does not open for what ever reason.

Are you sure they are the correct drivers? What are your system specs?

That's strange, have you tried older versions of the drivers??? If so, contact AMD and let them know you can't open the driver GUI.
