Intel cpu support dvd reader 4k aupport

Does 4k hdr still thing on  pc  as intel  copy right it as  do I still need custom hardware?

 

Can I use old hardware to run 4k hdr player at atleast bluerays  until I  upgrade my intel devil cannon?

the main thing you need is the latest HDMI with HDCP 2.2 if your GPU supports this that is fine if you use an onboard GPU you need a very recent CPU which has this build in.
