I built a computer a couple of weeks ago and I have noticed that it does not perform as it should.

I have noticed it most clearly when I played Assasin's creed valhalla on ultra setting and got an average of 30 fps while what I saw on the youtube and other test was about 60 fps on average.

I also noticed it when I played Apex Legends then I run at high setting and push only 100-110 fps often even though the computer should be able to send out much higher. I am running on a 1440p screen at 144hz and gsync enabled.

I also have problems running two ram sticks in my computer, right now I only have one because when I have two inserted, the computer does not send out a signal.

My computer consists of

Asus rtx 3070 dual oc (not overclocked)

Ryzen 5 3600 (not overclocked)

Msi Mag b550 tomahawk

Corsair rmx 750 gold

Samsung 970 evo 500gb ssd

Seagate barracuda 2tb hard drive

Corsair vengeance rgb pro ddr4 3600 2x8gb (right now only 1 stick so 8gb)

Appreciate all the help I can get

Assuming your board isn't ITX, it is usually goes from left to right: blank, RAM, blank, RAM. And if that doesn't work, try the opposite; RAM, blank, RAM, blank.

Fuck you scalpers, fuck you scammers, fuck all of you jerks that charge way too much to tech-illiterate people.

Unless I say I am speaking from experience or can confirm my expertise, assume it is an educated guess.

Current setup: Ryzen 5 3600, MSI MPG B550, 2x8GB DDR4-3200, RX 5600 XT (+120 core, +320 Mem), 1TB WD SN550, 1TB Team MP33, 2TB Seagate Barracuda Compute, 500GB Samsung 860 Evo, Corsair 4000D Airflow, 650W 80+ Gold. Razer peripherals.

Also have a Alienware Alpha R1: i3-4170T, GTX 860M (≈ a 750 Ti). 2x4GB DDR3L-1600, Crucial MX500

The ram is the problem. you will face a bottleneck with one stick of ram with ryzen.

I could use some help with this!

Yeah, I've suspected that but i haven't been able to try it.

But when i look at task manager whilst playing the game it says that my gpu usage is about 97% regardeless of setting, my cpu is at about 20-30% and my ram is at about 70-80% usage.

Thanks alot for the help man
