I  have an old Radeon HD 6790 with no DirectX support, but because i had previously installed an RX580 in my PC(wich has nothing todo with my Question).When i run Programms like Photoshop or Forza Horizon 4 on my PC it says on Forza "Thanks for Purchasing Forza Horizon 4, we are sorry to tell you that your PC has no graphics card that supports DirectX12 and in Photoshop it just says: "You can´t continue cause of a Program error", but it worked on  my RX580, is there any way to still use Photoshop or to Emulate DirectX12 on my old Graphics Card(cause my RX580 broke), i really need Photoshop and i can´t work without it, in the meanwhile i use Gimp. P.S. I have Photoshop 2021 with the newest update.

Radeon HD 6790 does not have DX12 support...only up to DX 11.2.

As far as I know, there is no way to emulate DX12 on Windows...

 

Forza Horizon 4 runs on the DX 12 API, so you need it to play / run the game...

 

What version of Photoshop do you have?

It might be that your particular version requires DirectX 12.

To run software that requires DirectX 12, you need a graphics card that supports DirectX 12 and there is no way around it.

Forza wants dx12 which your hd 6790 doesn't support so nothing to do there. For photoshop it's fine just ddu the driver you have now and get the latest supported driver for the hd 6790 from amds website.

Photoshop requires a DirectX 12 capable graphics card, so the lastest driver for HD6790 won't help.

Adobe is listing DirectX 12 on their official requirements for the current version of Photoshop, so unfortunately that appears to be non-negotiable. Maybe if you could roll back to an earlier Photoshop version, but I'm unsure if that's an option.

Just get last years version. 2021 hasn't really brought anything new to the table that would be game changing so no loss there. 2021 still works on dx11 cards too you just lose a couple gpu accelerated features which sucks but it works fine enough.
