airflow vs quiet cases

Go to solution Solved by zephprojects,

Hey,

I do believe this is possible but the quiet part depends on the RPM of your fans.

Since you are looking for a new case, here are some of my personal favorites that I believe you may like.

2: https://www.phanteks.com/Eclipse-P500A.html

3:https://www.bequiet.com/en/case/1854

These are great options especially the first one which is a very flexible case. It's got tons of space for cable management, a great front IO and it also comes with 3 fans and a fan controller I believe. You can look more into it.

Enjoy 🙂

Hi,

This might be a really stupid question, but is it possible to have a case that's quiet and has good airflow?

I've done some googling trying to find a new case, and I want both these things. But, it's looking to me like most quiet cases have subpar airflow almost by definition?

Am I looking for the moon on a stick, or am I just googling badly?

yes it is but like zephprojrects said, it depends on the RPMs that your fans are spinning at slower fans typically maked the inside of the case hotter and quited while higher spinning fans make it cooler but louder.

i would suggest you look into the fractal design meshify series of cases

Yes, but it requires:

1) buying a GPU that has multiple fans and good fan control in the drivers/software.

2) A good air cooler on the CPU (not stock cooler) Noctua 12 or 14/15

3) Ditching most case fans your case comes with and replacing with good PWM fans.  (Arctic or Noctua) and making sure all the fans are properly PWM managed.
