It will fit. If it didn't, whoever made your motherboard would have a problem.

Also, that's a weird GT 710 that you have.

Aight so basically I wanna upgrade from a gt710 to a gt1030  but idk if it will fit in my case cause of this wierd sliver grid on my motherboard I’m. The GPU should be able to clear the southbridge heatsink as it looks like the heatsink is slightly (couple mm) taller or is the same height as the PCIe slot itself.

Sorry, you might of heard of the term chipset thrown around. It's the integrated circuit responsible for the SATA controller, I/O controller, and USB; any basic I/O.

Passively cooled GT 710s aren't odd. That's a Palit card.

Then don't worry about what I said, your GT 1030 will still fit and will not interfere with that heatsink.
