So I’m building my first PC for content creation, gaming, and maybe some streaming, but I’m using a R9 3900x and pairing it with a RTX 2060 and I’m wondering if the GPU will struggle to keep up with the CPU. Please let me know if these will work fine or if I should change something.

Thanks,

This will work fine, in fact, the Ryzen R9 3900X will be stronger here when paired with a RTX 2060. You can always upgrade the GPU down the road and you'll still be fine with this processor. Do you already have both the R9 3900X and 2060??

Thanks,

It depends I guess. What will you be doing with the build? If you're asking if this is the best combination for x price for gaming, probably not.

I am NOT a professional and a lot of the time what I'm saying is based on limited knowledge and experience. I'm going to be incorrect at times.

CPU will last you ANOTHER GPU upgrade while streaming over the next set of years...

🙂 Happy Gaming
#RTX4060 #7700XT for example....

Maximums - Asus Z97-K /w i5 4690 Bclk @106.9Mhz * x39 = 4.17Ghz, 8GB of 2600Mhz DDR3,.. Gigabyte GTX970 G1-Gaming @ 1550Mhz

Alright good to know, I do not currently have the CPU or the GPU yet.

Ok, yeah the CPU is a bit overkill for a 2060, but will last you another 1-2 GPU upgrades as they tend to get replaced more often than CPUs.
