Push/pull for AIO

DonBaldy

Is there any advantage to running a push/pull fan configuration for AIO? Currently running a Corsair H100i RGB PLATINUM SE with 2 Noctua NF-F12 PWM chromax.Black fans. Rad and fans are currently mounted in the front of the NZXT 510 as intake. The rear and top mounted exhaust fans are the LL-120s that came with the AIO. CPU is Ryzen 5600x and temps are averaging between 37c and 45c idle and have gotten as high as 86c running Cinebench r20. Also running auto OV through Ryzen Master.

I know the NZXT is a horrible case for for thermals and is being replaced with a Lian Li lancool II mesh next week.

seems fine since you have a realyl bad airflow case. 86C is still "safe"

a bit high for your AIO but nothing to worry about

push / pull can give you 1-3c  depending on fans, speed.

buying new thermalpaste can give you 1-2c (Grizzly Kryonaut)

So the gains can be negligible it seems. I have some of the Grizzly Kryonaut to use when I change out my case next week.

I had good results with P/P on CLC. I wasn't using stock fans though.

Please forgive my ignorance, but I'm not familiar with the term "CLC". What is it? Yes please explain it like I'm a noob.

CLC is a maintenance free water cooler, like an AIO but with no fill port. An H100 is a CLC, I guess it could be called an AIO too.. I still get them confused and they have been out for at least a decade lol.

CLC must stand for closed loop cooler. Have heard that.
