Argb question

So to start off i know that argb and rgb are 2 different thing rgb takes 12v and argb takes 5v, but my problem isn't that, i have argb fans and strips but the wires aren't long enough to reach the place where i want the hub and i dont like the idea ive paying 30 bucks for 6 argb connectors when, i can by 8 rgb for the same price. Wire is wire.  My memory though with rgb is there were all sorts of patented connectors to keep one from doing that. Not because it wouldn’t work, but because they wanted to drive the consumer herds into the corral

ya the 4pin will fit the 3 pin just DON'T PLUG IT IN BACK WORDS OR ELS!
