It may not exist, but I'm looking for a case with good airflow, bays for 3 ODD's (for copying 3 blu rays at a time), lots of room for 3.5 drives (i have 7 drives totaling 53 TB's of storage), and a USB-C port on the front.

My old HAF-X has some battle damage. A couple of the front USB ports are broken, the 230mm fan is dead, and replacement parts cost an arm and a leg to be shipped from Europe. I'm thinking that the only solution might be to break this system down into two computers when I upgrade, one for storage/odd bays, and one modern system for everything else. Any thoughts?

Really there won't be anything as good for you at a reasonable price compared to your haf. I'd just replace the broken fan with a standard 200mm one and keep trucking. Optical drives have been ditched and the cases that still have them are:

1. Cheap

2. Old

3. Have bad airflow

4. Worse than your haf x

Basically any combo of the above 3 + 4 always

At best I can find 2x 5.25inch bays and that is it.

Thank you, I was pretty sure I was out of luck.  I still like to copy the blu-rays, or this would be a lot easier. I'm waiting for 2022 to upgrade, and I think I'll make one gaming unit, and have another system with a $60 case for the ODD's and a handful of 3.5" drives.

You can just get a 5.25 inch bay usb dock. Quite a few available between 2-5 bays. No need for a different system then.

A lot of modern ones lacking one that aren't cheap actually have bad airflow and who the fuck thought choking a PSU's airflow was brilliant?

Your post would have more credibility if you'd actually make a suggestion.

OP: "I want a case with X, Y, and Z."
Other poster: "Those don't really exist."
You: "No, they totally do."

OK, such as...?

OP, if you could do without the USB-C, or were willing to sacrifice one of the 5.25" bays and leave yourself with only two to put in something like this, then the Phanteks Enthoo Pro might be an option for you.

I don't know if a 200mm fan can actually be mounted easily in the front of the HAF X, I thought I remembered that it actually only has mounting holes for 230mm or 140mm. Could be wrong though.

Corps aren't your friends. "Bottleneck calculators" are BS. Only suckers buy based on brand. It's your PC, do what makes you happy.  If your build meets your needs, you don't need anyone else to "rate" it for you. And talking about being part of a "master race" is cringe. Watch this space for further truths people need to hear.

Then do you have a case that fits ops requirement whilst not being worse than the haf x? That list is purely made in comparison to the haf x/general case market for new cases that still fit the requirements op gave us.

Normally a 200mm fan should work just fine in a haf x.

I agree with you if the person calling me wrong would give an example I'd happily be wrong as then op is helped as I simply could not find a new case still for sale that wasn't worse than their haf x/had no major flaw.

My suggestion would be to get something like this and do case modding to fix things like airflow.   I've done modding on this case for a server because while the airflow is amazing for the most part, choking the PSU is one of the market's dumbest ideas.   The reason they do it is to please the "cable management community", but at the same time you're potentially causing damage to your PSU just beucase you want "ooo pretty".  e.e   Also, with some of the enthoos you can just stack the bays near the PSU shroud area.   It's a literal feature of them.  With modding you can stack more.

The version of the Enthoo Pro without a window doesn't have a PSU "basement" shroud. Regardless, I have never in my life heard of a PSU being damaged by a case having a shroud, now do I see how that could even occur, since your PSU ought to be oriented with the fan pointing down anyway, unless you have a cheap crappy case with no bottom air filter.

The Enthoo Pro 2 and its relatives built on the same frame allow you to relocate some of the 3.5" bays to the side of the PSU shroud, where an ITX board goes in a dual-system configuration, but not on the original Enthoo Pro, and the Pro 2 doesn't have any optical drive bays.
