So I got Phanteks 2 led strips combo wihich came with extension cables,so I did youtube video assuming this is the way to install them:

Is everything okay, from how I describe installation in video?

Please do not take offence for my apparent confusion or rudeness,it's not intent me to be like that,it's just my BPD,be nice to me,and I'll return twice better,be rude and usually I get easly pissed of...I'll try to help anyone here,as long as it's something I dealt with, and even if you think I'm rude or not polite, forgive me,  it's not me it's my BPD.

Thanks for understanding.

Yes, it should only go in one way due to the layout, but it is correct that the arrow goes into the 5V. Just make sure you don't accidentally touch the 12 V RGB header close by as you may fry the strip.

I've seen it, just to be sure: we speak about the 4pin connector visible at 00:16 just after that 88 led boot code?

yes.

So I can't plug strip directly.I need extension cable who has 3 holes. One of the hole marked with an arrow goes to pin on header where is marked +5 V,right?

And that is all.

Strip can connect with extension cable only one way,I see it.

That's a 12V connector, as the other one you have

the strip you have (and I also have) need a 3 pin connector for 5V strips

that's why:

1) you NEED that extension cable in any case

2) probably your mobo only offers 12V rbg, so you cannot connect it

The connector is beneath 12 V connector (white one),look at 0:16

Also in the video, you cannot put the cable in the mobo as it has a hole filled in order to prevent what you want to do right now 😄

Asus boards have a 4-1 pin addressable RGB header, is this what the point of confusion is?

At the end, you can safely proceed with that adapter as For Science! said

so markings with an arrow on connector plugs to +5V pin?

I mean I see that can not connect the other waymjust want to be cautious, these things easily make a short if not installed correctly.

These can be connected directly to motherboard 5V header without using controller, right?

THIS is a Phanteks exclusive ARGB connector.

THIS is a "standard" 3-pin ARGB header, found on most motherboards these days.

Yes, the Arrow is the +5V pin.

That LED kit comes with an adapter cable.

Read the tech specs of the things you are buying....

Both 12V RGB and 5V ARGB have the little arrow.

*SOME* 5V ARGB headers will have one of the pins blocked off, because it is unused.

You need to LOOK /  CONFIRM whether it is  5V or 12V yourself.

What do 5v and 12v RGB cables look like you ask?
