So I got this brand new laptop about half a year ago and I was new to gaming laptops, never had one before. So I was playing my games, Doom, CSGO, etc. and I had my cpu at 95 c. Only 3 months later my Dad tells me that my laptop is really overheating so I start to undervolt, problem fixed. Some months later I discover that turbo mode (I was using it for the first 4 months for games) overclocks your gpu  and memory so I start using performance mode. A month ago I realized that my performance was becoming worse, so I check for viruses and I find some trojans. I reinstall windows and I think that problem is now fixed. Then again I realize that it's still underperforming, especially in the game Rust (where on max settings I get 40-55 fps). I check to see if other rtx 2060 laptops have the same problems and I see that a laptop with a weaker cpu (legion 5) has 20 degrees c lower temps and around 100 fps (on ultra), so I'd like to ask why is this happening? I also wanna say I for some reason can't undervolt after the windows reinstall.

I have a Asus ROG Zephyrus S GX701GVR-H6033 and I bought it from here: https://www.alza.cz/EN/asus-rog-zephyrus-s-gx701gvr-h6033t-aluminium-black-240hz-d5774259.htm?o=6

I am also confused on why is it that the only country that sells gvr laptops is Czech Republic and Slovakia.

Try to use a tool like MSI Afterburner to check your gpu and cpu usage (or use the Windows task manager for cpu usage) and make sure you can see this for EACH thread. Then play a game and compare your cpu and gpu temperatures, gpu load, gpu frequency and each cpu thread usage and post them here 🙂

So how did you reinstall windows? Did you just use recovery? You could try reinstalling using a USB drive, download Media creation tool: https://www.microsoft.com/en-US/software-download/windows10

I also recommend installing windows 10 while being offline. Download all drivers before and put on usb. Update BIOS. Here are the drivers for your model. https://www.asus.com/supportonly/GX701GVR/HelpDesk_Download/

Download Nvidia driver on: https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/drivers/results/170889/

Also you could try repasting the laptop if it's overheating.

If you don't want to do none of above, you'll have to RMA, but it could take some time.

I reinstalled using recovery. I'll try reinstalling with a usb stick. Do I need to repaste after 9 months of usage? Also thanks for the drivers, I couldn't find them myself.

Here are the results in rust on absolute max settings and cyberpunk on absolute minimum graphics

Clearly your cpu and gpu are throttling. CPU is still on a small turbo, your graphics card on the other hand is running at only 1100 MHz and the cpu usage is very high, which means it's not just temperatures but the cpu as well. I'd say lower your graphics settings and/or use DLSS.
