Attachment management stuff

Red :)

I think it would be great if we could do these three things:

  1. Be able to search for a specific attachment on the 'My Attachments' page (I'm basically asking for a search bar)
  2. Be able to rename an attachment/put tags on attachments
  3. (Originally @Benji's request which I agree with) Be able to delete attachments from one place without having to edit posts

How often do you end up looking at old attachments vs just uploading new ones?

And why do you want to find them in the My Attachments page (your suggestion 1) or to remove them from all posts (suggestion 3)?

suggestion 1:

sometimes when I'm outside of the forum and I don't have the original files available to me and the attachment is on the forum I tend to try to find them using the My Attachments page (although admitedly this suggestion goes along with suggestion 2)

suggestion 3:

sometimes when you want to delete an image off of the forum altogether and said image is on a lot of posts of yours, right now it would be required to go through all of them

ok you've got a point I actually cannot really think of a justification for the third one, perhaps @Benji will fill in

It looks like supporting renames would be a non-negligible amount of work (it shouldn't break things, but it would need a UI and backend to be built to support it), and I don't think this is a particularly common use case.
