Which M.2 Should I Get?

Memorizer

Hello, I am planning to buy and M.2 SSD soon and I have two choices, either Samsung 970 EVO Plus 250GB or XPG SX8200 Pro 256GB. I'm starting to study both specs and I'm just undecided which I should purchase as my boot drive, all I know is they are both TLC, with DRAM, and with 3D NAND. I wish to learn more about the differences and comparisons between the two.

When in doubt, Samsung.

samsung ssd's are always in my list but i'm trying to open myself to other options especially if i can save a few bucks without "sacrificing" performance and longevity

Provided the price delta is under $20, go with Samsung. Samsung works in more motherboards too. I've had problems with ADATA drives on more obscure motherboards.

I checked the compatibility of both ssd's with my motherboard, and both are listed. I'm not sure on the actual compatibility though now that you've mentioned it

Another reason you may not want to buy an ADATA SSD:

Now does this happen to Samsung SSDs? Yes. But Samsung seems to have a better ability to handle drive wear over time.

i'll take note of this. thank you
