Hi all.

I've been having this problem a while, for some reason Warzone sometimes just drops to 15-20 fps for 10-20 seconds, almost as if the game thinks its not currently in focus etc and really damages the gameplay. I normally get around 80-90 fps regardless of where I am in the game.

RTX 2070, I7-8750H, 16GB DDR4 2666Mhz RAM, Hybrid SSHD Drive.

Any ideas? This problem makes the game near unplayable.

Thanks in advance,

Dude, I've been having the same issue now for months.

Game will run fine for the first match, and then halfway through the next game I would get my 100fps and then just have this sudden spike for at least a second at random intervals, especially while adsing.

This is the reason I have failed to quit smoking.

I'm running a 1070, Ryzen 5 3600, 16 GB DDR4 3200mhz Ram, installed on a HDD but running windows off my SSD.

The main fix I've found online is editing a file - Go Into C:\Users\*Your Profile*\Documents\Call of Duty Modern Warfare\players , Then Adv_options

You will See RendererWorkerCount=3

Change that number to the number of physical cores on your CPU

That sadly has not worked for me, but it may work for you who knows.

There are a few other fixes I'm going to try tonight, and will let you know if anything helps.

https://www.howtogeek.com/225143/what-is-swapfile.sys-and-how-do-you-delete-it/#:~:text=Windows%2010%20

If you are interested in trying them the first one is confirming where my swapfile.sys is located. I may have moved it from my SSD to my HDD by mistake a

few months back.

Next, I am going to try and force Warzone to run in DX11

-Open the Battle.net (Blizzard application).
-Select the Call of Duty: MW game in the left panel (Below PARTNER GAMES).
-Click on OPTIONS.
-Select Game Settings.
-Enable ADDITIONAL COMMAND LINE ARGUMENTS.
-In the box, enter -D3D11
-Click Done button at the bottom.

Next, I am going to perform a ancient African tribal ritual healing dance. I have a really good feeling about this one, may do the trick

Failing all of that, I am going to install what is hopefully not malware

Will keep you posted
