laptop bios update fail I guess

3-DEF

I found out that my bios version is pretty old, so I decided to update it. It said its going to reboot. But everything that happened was my laptop shut down, but not completely. The screen is off, but The rgb lighting is still on.

My laptop:

Alienware 15 r2

intel i5 6300hq

nvidia gtx 965m

16gb 2133mhz ram

I tried updating to bios version 1.6.something

What can I do? Isy laptop broken now?

Smh, I will never understand why people update their BIOS when there is no need...

Try clearing CMOS and then seeing if it boots. I suspect you bricked your laptop but it's worth trying.

soooooo I rebooted my pc. I entered thr bios and since I didn't what a cmos is and how to clear it, I just set the settings to default. And then everything worked fine, it looks like my laptop was trying to prank me or something. But that's not the first time, one I got stuck on blue screen after booting normally
