Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Just casual gaming with rtx enabled, 1440p.

Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): Hi, this is my first pc build and I am thinking about getting the following (if they're in stock). I'm not planning to upgrade this setup until around 3-5 years or so, is this any good?

CPU: Ryzen 5 3600

CPU cooler: The stock cooler.

GPU: Nvidia rtx 3060ti founder's edition
Mobo: Asrock b550m hdv

Ram: Corsiar vengance 16g 3600 mhz

PSU: Evga BQ 650w (modular) 

Storage: WD blue sn550 1tb and seagate baracuda 2tb

Case: Cooler master masterbox nr600 (without odd)

if you are willing to sacrafice some storage you could fit a 5600x or 10600k

At the moment if you can find an RTX 3060 Ti gpu it will cost at least half of the budget. More likely 3/4.

 

Sadly this is not the time to be buying a gaming system. If you have to get a new system going Intel with an igpu would at least give one a general purpose system. A gpu for gaming could then be added when prices normalize. If one is going that route, waiting 2 - 3 weeks for the 11th gen cpu would be a good idea.

80+ ratings certify electrical efficiency. Not quality.
